Historic dockyard

On 2 April 2011, over 100 Cubs and leaders from across Petworth & Pulborough District took boarded coaches to take them to the Historic dockyard at Portsmouth. The group included 18 Cubs from Parbrook and of course our very own Raksha had organised the whole day for the District.

Our tickets included the full tour of the dockyard including HMS Victory, HMS Warrior, the harbour tour and all the various museums plus a chance to let off steam in Action Stations. Although we arrived soon after 10am and were there until 5pm it was still a struggle to fit it all in.

When we came off HMS Victory we noticed that the recently decommissioned HMS Ark Royal was moored nearby. So Raksha got a picture of the Cubs with Ark Royal in the background.

Those that followed us (@ParbrookCubs) on Twitter or checked the home page of the website for our Twitter feed got extra information (including pictures) from the trip as it happened:

There are more pictures from our trip in our Portsmouth photo gallery.
