We will be holding a weekend camp in March. During the weekend we will mainly be working on the Map reader's badge but we'll have plenty of time for other camp activities too. This is a level 1 camp.

Where: We will be staying in the Brunswick Building at Walton Firs camp site near Cobham. You will need to make your own way to the camp site. The journey via the M25 takes about an hour. On arrival at the site you will need to park in the car park and carry your gear down the track to the Brunswick Building. You will pass the Pembroke building and our toilet block on the left before you go through a line of trees (the ravine) and find the Brunswick Building in front of you. Don't turn right as you get through the line of trees as this will take you to the Training Hut instead.

When:  You should aim to arrive between 7pm and 8pm. Camp will end at 4pm on Sunday, with our closing ceremony from about 3.30pm. Parents are encouraged to arrive at about 3.30pm so that we can finish promptly by 4pm.

What: We'll be working on the Map reader's badge but there will also be plenty of time for wide games, orienteering, exploring the site and following the tree trail. We also hope to visit the legendary adventure course - but as you can see from the 2nd Bracknell photos from 2007, you will get muddy!

Who: This camp is open to all our cubs, including first time campers but not those that are visiting from Beavers or not invested at the time of the camp. Total numbers on site (including adults) are limited to 24, which is likely to mean that we can take up to 18 Cubs. We'll have Akela, Jacala and Keego at camp with Marian and Angie in the kitchen as usual.

Cost: The cost is £40 but our Parbrook Cashback means that you will only need to pay £27.50.

Wear: You will need to arrive at Camp in your uniform.

Bring: The kit list has now been published. There are a few differences from the standard kit list including the need to bring indoor shoes and maybe even some pocket money.

Paperwork: If you would like to come to camp you will need to return the reply slip with your camp fees. For those already on the list, you should now complete a health form.

Photos: We haven't camped at Walton Firs since 2008 but in 2007, our friends at 2nd Bracknell held a similar weekend to ours using the Brunswick Building. You can see photos from their weekend online.
