Cubs from across Petworth & Pulborough District will be taking part in an incident hike on Saturday 3 October.

Where: The hike will take place in the Wisborough Green area and will start from that groups headquarters. We are the last team to start and will be setting off at 11.50am. You should meet at Wisborough Green HQ at 11.40pm (note start time has changed again)

When: The hike will take about 2½ hours with teams starting at regular intervals. We start at 11.50am so should be finished by 2.30pm.

What: An incident hike means that as you walk down a route you will come across a series of challenges or activities that have to be completed. You will then be scored on your performance. One of the challenges will be air rifle shooting at targets and there will also be some cooking involved.

Teams: Our pack needs to enter a team of between 3 and 8 Cubs.

Cost: The £3 entry fee per team will be paid from our funds

Wear: You should wear clothes appropriate to the weather on the day. There will be quite a bit of walking (it is a hike after all) so you should wear strong, comfortable shoes. You do not need to wear uniform apart from your scarf.

Bring: You should bring a small daysack containing a waterproof and a drink. You may also like to bring a few snacks to eat as you walk round.

Who: You can see who is coming by looking at the Guest list. If you would like to take part please complete and return the consent form.
