Camping with the Cubs is one of the most exciting parts about
being a Cub. At Parbrook we like to make sure that we run at
least one night away each term. Sometimes we have to restrict
our camps to just our experienced campers or to first time
campers.
We are also using this form to record the guest lists for
some of our Autumn term trips. To reserve your place
you can complete our
booking
form online. When you have done this your name will appear
in our guest list table.
District Camp: 12-14 September
This camp allows all the Cub packs from across the District to camp
together. We will be working to achieve the Campers badge and
also hope to have a weekend packed with activities. We hope to be able to take all the Parbrook Cubs that
would like to go. The cost has now been fixed at £15. It
will be a level 4 camp.
Lord Mayor's Show: 8 November
We will be having another day trip to London, travelling up
on the train of course. We hope to combine seeing the
Lord Mayor's Show
with a trip to Downing Street and maybe even Scotland Yard. If
we can't get in to either of those then we will at least have a
look from outside. As London will be busy we will have
opportunities for extra adults to come with us. We hope to be
joining with our friends from 1st Ashington for this trip. We
expect the cost to be around £5-£10 per person.
Panto: 2 January 2009
We will be making our annual visit to the Panto at the
Capitol in Horsham. This year they are performing Peter Pan with
Mark Curry and Sarah Jane Honeywell as the guest stars. As usual
we plan to travel to Horsham on the train. We have reserved a
block of seats and will be able to confirm the price shortly.
Families are welcome to book tickets in our block and come with
us on the day although any non-Cub children must be accompanied
by an adult. We hope that we will be joined by 1st Billingshurst
Beavers for this event.
County Campalot: 15-17 May 2009
In 2009 Cubs from across West Sussex will come together for
a county cub camp. This time the theme is
Campalot - so there will be knights from the round table,
jousting and all those sort of medieval adventures. We expect
the cost to be around £40-£45 per Cub and will be telling you
more about this nearer the time.
If you would like to go to any of our planned camps please
let us know by completing the online
booking
form. Your bookings will be recorded in the table below:
