ARC generously provided by the publisher vie Edelwesis in exchange for an honest reviewRating 3.5 starsJane s whole family has been in the spy business and she is no different Jane Spyrus is a developer for B.L.I, she makes all the spy gadgets that the agents can use Her inventions are mostly for women agents. The blurb describes her as shy, I don t think she was at all shy, she was insecure about herself which I think came across as reservedness She s very quirky, highly intelligent if a slightl [...]

I am a huge fan of Ms Sands Argeneau series I get my hands on those books as soon as I can, I enjoy them so much So I thought it would be a no brainer that I would love this book I am sad to say I was very wrong This is supposed to be a romantic comedy It started out that way, sort of Then it ended up being ridiculous and even gross at times I didn t feel anything real between Jane and Abel but then the whole story was just flat so I really didn t feel anything except bored And gross I just can [...]

OMG This is my first thought after reading this book I so needed this I had recently been in a book slump and so I needed something to read that would not require a lot of my attention I was wrong Sometimes it is good to be wrong The reason I was wrong is because this book was so much fun to read that I could not stop reading it Jane, Abel, and Jane s Gram were all super stars in their own right Take Jane for example She was brain smart but na ve when it came to being a spy It is a good thing th [...]

The Loving DaylightsThe CharactersJane SpyrusAbel AndrettiThe StoryThe screwball iest of screwball comedies There are vibrator rocket launchers, bad guy loving terriers and some fun sexy times I really liked all of the characters, even the cantankerous Tinkles I ve said it before and I ll say it again, I don t think Lynsay Sands can write a book that I don t enjoy The Random ThoughtsUnfortunately my Scribd app s tendency to quit working between chapters of the book killed a lot of the joy in my [...]

Back when I was a teenager, mumbles 196 just a few years ago, there was a couple of movies starring James Coburn Our Man Flint and In Like Flint They were deliciously campy spy flicks, obviously capping on the James Bond craze at the time The best thing they had going for them was James Coburn who even the teenage me thought was terribly hot for an old guy The names were outrageous, the story line verged on fantastical, the implied sex almost had this thing rated R but they kept it all suggesti [...]

Did i seriously just read this And enjoy it This book demands you approach it with a sense of humor and the understanding that it is meant to be a fun, silly care free story I started it without reading the blurb or checking out any reviews something new i m trying and all i knew was that it was meant to be a romantic crime novel When the government agency the protagonist worked for was called B.L.I.S.S which btw s nowhere does it say what that stands for KMT ,her dick head colleagues name was a [...]

    8. Kari says:

When I first started listening to The Loving Daylights, I wasn t sure if I would keep listening It was really unlike anything else that I have read by this author Once I gave into the silliness of the book, I found I enjoyed it This book is very silly I took it as a tongue in cheek spy romance novel There are lots of funny scenes that had me laughing The shrink wrap condom scene was hilarious I started to enjoy the character names, such as Ira Maintrue and Dirk Ensecksi Say those really fast and [...]

    9. Cathy says:

I love the author s vampire romances, but am not into historical these days, which left me with this Not much of a leaving A cute, very silly premise with a government inventor forced to go off on a mission to save her very dear neighbor with her hot brother tagging along But it was too silly even for me, without the connection to the characters that makes her Argeneau series work so well.

    10. Donna Campbell says:

My New Year s resolution is I have to be stingy with my stars last year this would have been a 4, loved the gadgets that were portrayed Kinda wished the pink d d was on the cover this was an amusing light read with decent background story.

    11. Ana Ramirez says:

      The characters are hilarious

    12. Paula says:

The story didn t grab me very fast but I did find myself chuckling all the way thru it The silly play on words keeps me laughing I will reread this bookrereading

    13. Nora-adrienne says:

Lynsay Sands appears to have hit her stride with this new series It s a combination of Get Smart, and every soft core spy novel I ever read in my much younger years I LOVE IT

    14. Ashley says:

A hilarious romance novel featuring Jane Spyrus, a spy gadget inventor, who s unexpectedly thrown into the field when her friend, Edie, is kidnapped On the case with Edie s brother and her retired spy grandmother, Maggie, the trio cracks the case and has the reader cracking up the whole way Lynsay Sands never disappoints

    15. Rachel Remer says:

Nothing particular was terrible or bad about this book I just didn t enjoy it.

    16. Michelle says:

Living it I really enjoyed this book and I will look forward to many adventurers with Jane and Abel They are very good togethdr

    17. Ruth (Wealie) says:

This was such fun and I think could have made a great series, but works well as a standalone novel Think feminist, comedic James Bond and you re on the right track It has a great pace with fun characters There s a sassy and believable heroine, a very scary and talented grandmother and a bevy of sexy men drooling over the unsuspecting heroine, whose painfully shy and not aware of her natural charms The missile launching vibrator and tracking tampons had me spitting up my coke and belly laughing o [...]

The Loving Daylights Romantic comedyturned out to be like goofy comedy It started out good, I got quite a chuckle with a few of Jane s inventions and absolutely love her Gran, Maggie Abel took a bit to warm up to but none of them had any real depth to them By the time the final battle arrived I was ready to be done with this book I felt the end did not reward my reading as far as I did to get there, it was quite disappointing Jane supposedly had 20 years martial arts training and yet we don t r [...]

Can I just say WOW I was very hesitant at first to try reading it thinking I m only into the Argeneau series for the vampires but damn I was wrong and proud to have been Really, I m in it for the way she writes everything Damn, this was a page turning and if I wasn t about to drop my book nodding off last night I d have tried to read the whole thing in a one day span Instead, it was late evening yesterday until approximately an hour ago Either way, man was this refreshing. If you love romance thi [...]

    23. Tracey says:

Lynsay Sands is one of my favourite authors, and I was most pleasantly surprised as this was a different kind of genre that I usually read from Lynsay Sands. This is your spy romance, with lots of funny scenes with Jane and Abel, they first meet at the apartment building where Jane Spyrus and her grandmother Maggie Spyrus live, where Abel Andretti is visiting is sister who lives in the same building and later find that Edie Abel s sister has been kidnapped, she had borrowed one of Jane s gadgets [...]

    24. constance says:

I m pretty much a Lynsay Sands fanatic I ve read just about everything that she has written, I love her historicals and her Argeneau vampire series all 18 of them When I read the blurb for The Loving Daylights, I was very excited because I realized that this was going to be a completely new Lynsay Sands experience The Loving Daylights is vastly different from Sands other work, but I m happy to say it was just as enjoyable It s pretty obvious from the beginning that Sands is spoofing the typical [...]

    25. Cathy says:

The Loving Daylights by Lynsay Sands I have read several of Ms Sands works and this one was certainly a bit different but not any less enjoyable Throughout I was chuckling and, at times, laughing so hard I had to put the book down well, my Kindle actually It certainly isn t a very serious story, although the plot can be considered one a friend is kidnapped and Jane, our heroine, must save her However, the path to salvation is one that is filled with comical situations Abel, our Hero of the story [...]

    26. Zel Polev says:

This was a pretty boring book It revolves around Jane and Abel Jane is technically a techno geek promoted to a field agent by default since she was already on the scene She partners up with Abel, Edie s brother Edie is a witness to a crime and she is kidnapped to make her silent Together, Jane and Abel infiltrate a gated community to find out about the Ensecksi s mind control plan that involves hawaiian shirts and jaundiced yellow dresses It is a pretty silly book but I found my attention stray [...]

    27. Jenn says:

Yikes How about I start off with the good stuff This is evidently the third in a series and I didn t realize it until I came here to do this review So these books are VERY stand alone You aren t missing anything by not having read the first two Also, if you re a fan of Sands Argeneau series, the pacing and many of the story elements are exactly like those in that series But This story is completely ridiculous I mean, the Argeneau series IS pretty ridiculous itself, but maybe since we re talking [...]

    28. Elizabeth says:

I am a huge Lynsay Sands fan, so when I had the opportunity to review this re release, I jumped at the chance I was a little surprised at the craziness of the story There s action, adventure, mystery, romance, house pets, a sexy accountant, cantankerous grandma and quirky and sex deprived weapons developer for a super secret agency Take Get Smart and add the hijinks of Scooby Doo and you ve got a funny story with a completely unorthodox motley crew THE LOVING DAYLIGHTS I thought it was light and [...]

    29. Michele says:

The Loving Daylights is a one two punch of action and hilarity Only the super talented Lynsay Sands could write a romantic spy novel with such quirky characters and have it work so well The world was counting on her and Gran to save them A techno geek and a half paralyzed ex spy Oh, this was just great I will start off by saying that this book may not be for everyone I personally happen to love screwball comedies where the characters are smart but klutzy, and a little goofy but still lovable And [...]

    30. Michelle says:

I ve enjoyed so many of Lynsay Sands novels that I was very excited that they reprinted The Loving Daylights since I missed it the first time around It s a little different from her other books but I loved the humor and witty dialogue between characters something that is pretty typical for a novel from Ms Sands Jane works in the Development office of B.L.I.S.S and never saw herself as a field operative But when her next door neighbor goes missing and the neighbor s brother, Abel, is on her doors [...]
